Studio Chronicle #5: Dreamspace – When the line connects worlds

I invite you on a sensory journey through South Africa, in a place vibrant with humanity, rhythm and memory.

In 2007, I was invited to represent France at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pretoria, South Africa.
It was more than an exhibition.

It was an adventure. A passage.
A moment of eternity, between ochre dust and splashes of blue, where a contrast was revealed.
And with it, an obviousness:

painting is not just representation, it’s connection.

In this new Chronicle, I tell you about this seminal experience, where the calligraphic gesture becomes a universal language.
This is where Dreamspace was born: a space of resonance between worlds, between tradition and the future, between oneself and the other.
