Dedication Lignes en Transhumance Sorèze

I chose the Abbaye-École, a listed historic monument since 1988, as the venue for a reception to present and dedicate my book Lignes en transhumance, 30 ans de peinture.

It took two years to assemble and select the documents, visuals and texts. It’s a pictorial retrospective of my career as a painter.

Lignes en transhumance is a book that presents the vagabondage of thirty years of painting by Sylvie Gesbert de Lίnea.

It offers an anthology of works, created from childhood to the present day, enriched with texts from Carnets transhumances (the artist’s thoughts noted over the years), and from three other authors: art theorist Éryx de la Clappe, writer Li Fu, troubadour Lyrcis. These texts shed light on the pictorial evolution of Sylvie Gesbert de Lίnea, in her relationship to the world and to art. They reveal, among other things, the world of blues where transparency dominates, red sensations, and the universal magic of the calligraphic gesture. Photographs of workshops and exhibitions in France and abroad complete the book.
